+ Honestly we really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro. The room was brilliant, spacious, modern and really comfortable. The pool area was our favourite parts, with plenty of space and separate pools for families and adults, so it never felt too busy. Additionally, staff were all really friendly and couldn't do enough for us, and the food was genuinely some of the best we've had at a hotel. The only downside was the location. If you're planning to spend most of your time around Barra, it's perfect, with some great restaurants and lovely beaches within walking distance. But if you want to visit the main sights in Rio, the traffic can make taxi rides much longer than you'd think. In terms of rating: Hotel: 5/5 Location: 4/5 Service: 5/5
